McGowan Construction was founded and is solely owned by Mr. John McGowan.

John McGowan was born and raised in Liverpool, England.

He relocated to The United States in 1990, settling in South East Florida, he entered the construction industry. Beginning in roofing, gaining experience quickly as Hurricane Andrew devastated Miami the very same year.

John naturally progressed to remodeling and once he decided that this was the path he wanted to take, put himself through three years of schooling and took the Florida State Certification General Contractors License Exam.

Florida building codes are only second to California’s Earthquake codes in complexity and strict compliance.

McGowan Construction went from strength to strength….

In 2005 John Married Sarah, also from England and they gave birth to a  beautiful son, who they named Taylor..

By this time McGowan Construction had progressed to Custom Home Building and Additions.

In early 2009 McGowan Construction and The McGowan Family relocated to

The Woodlands, Texas.

A beautiful thriving family orientated community where we plan to spend the  rest of our professional and personal life.

McGowan Construction is a Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida, A General Contractor in the State of Texas, Registered with F.E.M.A, Accredited by the Better Business Bureau in both States and a participating member of the local Chamber of Commerce.
